Trowse Newton
Trowse or Trowse with Newton is a small village, 2 miles south east of Norwich that is steeped in history. The name is thought to have derived from the Anglo Saxon word for treehouse, as houses had to be built on stilts to avoid flooding. Trowse church, St Andrew, is built of flint and dates from the 13th century.
