East Winch
Situated south east of King's Lynn is the village of East Winch, with its pretty church, All Saints'. The village is home to East Winch Wildlife Centre that is run by the RSPCA. The centre was founded in 1988 when the RSPCA and Greenpeace responded to the seal distemper virus that affected so many common seals in the North Sea, and was originally in Docking, Norfolk. In 1992 they moved to their new premises in East Winch, and the centre is renowned for its care of sick, injured and orphaned seals.
