Brampton
Situated ten miles north-east of Norwich, Brampton is a small village with an equally small population.
Norwich Castle Museum has many treasures that were unearthed at Brampton which date back to AD 140 when the Romans occupied much of the countryside.
The River Bure divides Brampton from Oxnead, which is where Charles II was said to have visited in 1676.
Brampton's Church of St Peter has an interesting octagonal brick top on its tower built in the 16th century. It also has some lovely brasses.
